We would like to thank all of our guests for many years of support. We closed the restaurant on the 8th October, thirteen years to the day.
Our team is our biggest asset. They are highly skilled and passionate individuals. For our industry to survive, secure employment and a stable wage is fundamental in continuing to attract exceptional individuals. Our industry depends on it.
We are proud to pay above the real living wage, and will continue to be advocates for fair pay across all hospitality sectors.
We believe service charge is archaic and outdated. We do not add service charge to your bill in our restaurant.
The highly skilled and talented team that works with us deserve a stable and reliable wage. We have built our prices around ensuring we are able to provide this for them. For the future of our industry, we feel this is a vital move and hope more venues begin to follow suit.
Incredibly generously, some of our guests still insist on giving a tip. This is very kind. All tips that The Ethicurean receive are donated each quarter to food charities that support the vulnerable. Please keep an eye on our socials to see the latest charities we have donated to.
We are genuinely passionate about ensuring that The Ethicurean remains a viable, ethical and responsible business for our guests and team alike.
We have seen how vital our industry is for the economy and we believe this is a career path to be cherished.
We strive to lead the industry, both in terms of our responsible conduct and the welfare of our team.
We will continue to keep setting this bar higher. We thank you for your support in striving for a brighter future.
