It also means that we're committed to paying our staff the living wage.


Service Charge

We also recognise that certain existing practises within the restaurant industry – a lack of clarity around service charging and tipping, for example, can impact on the straightforward enjoyment of a meal out.

That's why, as part of the reinvention of The Ethicurean format, we're introducing two new elements to our booking policy. Firstly, to give us confidence that we can generate the income to pay our staff and related costs, we will require payment on booking.

Secondly, and to make the payment process more straightforward for our guests, we have revised our pricing and no longer accept service charge. This ensures our team are paid a fair and stable wage for their continued dedication and hard work.
